THE SCISSOR SHED
Here at Mat Hibbert Designs we relish getting stuck into larger commercial projects, scaling up our extremely high quality bespoke hand made furniture service, to create beautiful spaces for commercial enviroments full off our high end furniture.
Here are a few of our latest projects, a stunning hair salon in Chichester West Sussex. The owner Lewis wanted a space to not only indulge his clients but somewhere he could be proud of and enjoy working in everyday. The results after months of planning and many more months of making and fitting where breathtaking. We created a bright elegant space with truly unique surroundings.
THE SHOJI PROJECT
The Shoji Project also seen bellow was a fantastic opportunity to push ourselves in a different direction. The commission was for a very high end fit out in Midhurst at the King Edward VII Hospital renovations. We made and fitted 24 large traditional Japanese Shoji doors. These where all hand lacquered and used authentic Japanese rice paper between the screens. The large private home ended up going from a slightly overwhelmingly open space into several beautifully sized rooms, wonderfully intimate with just as much light flooding through as before due to the rice papers translucent quality's.
